Vampire Weekend frontman Ezra Koenig has given an update on the band’s next album. On Instagram, he writes, “every day I get comments & questions about the next Vampire Weekend album. obviously, we gotta take our time & get it right but the fans deserve some information.” He then provides a timeline that begins with the release of their amazing 2013 album Modern Vampires of the City, and includes a year of touring in 2014, a mental health year in 2015, “writing LP4, long days in the library researching w/ the grad students” in 2016, and recording this year. Koenig adds that, in 2015, he “worked on a vibey project you’ll hear abt soon.”
